CHAMFER

Chamfer is a modular sofa system that reinterprets the architectural detail of a chamfered edge into a design language of versatility and comfort. Developed at Studio Urquiola for Moroso, the project followed a full-cycle design process—from conceptual sketches and CAD modeling to prototyping, material selection, and manufacturer coordination. With five modular units of varying dimensions, it enables fluid compositions, balancing structured geometries with inviting softness. Through hands-on prototyping and client collaboration, we refined upholstery, construction techniques, and technical details to enhance both durability and aesthetics. The result is a highly adaptable system that seamlessly integrates into diverse interiors.
